Cheering on Cincinnati and our Branch

Super Bowl Sunday brings back some fond memories, as it’s always been a tradition at our house to watch the game as a family.

One conversation I remember growing up was asking my father, Chris, his reason for pulling for one team over the other. His response was that he always rooted for the team where there is a Lansing branch because “when the home team wins, it’s always good for business. When their NFL team wins, a Lansing team wins.”

This Sunday, it will be very easy to pull for the Bengals as I’ve truly enjoyed hearing about the impact the team’s magical run has had on our Cincinnati branch. Sports can help us bond together as a community and that’s clearly apparent in our Cincinnati branch with our associates and customers.

As for the Bengals, there’s no doubt this team has been drastically elevated by the talent of Joe Burrow and Ja’marr Chase, yet what’s so eye-catching and inspiring is how Zac Taylor’s squad plays with passion and excitement for each other.  I’m proud of our teams at Lansing that display those same qualities.

I’ll be thinking about our Cincinnati team as they cheer on their team Sunday.
