Living True Blue

Developing yourself and others is one of our True Blue behaviors, the framework to help define what leadership looks like at Lansing.

Leading requires both constantly improving yourself and giving guidance to positively impact others.

My personal and professional growth is directly impacted by people inside and outside of Lansing. Among them is Lansing Warehouse Associate Mike Windley, who I recently had the opportunity to see again at our Charlotte branch Grand Re-Opening.

Mike is a role model for consistency, one of life’s greatest challenges as well as a hallmark of leadership. He consistently comes to work with a smile on his face, ready to serve our customers making a meaningful difference day after day delivering excellence for 31 years at Lansing. He is a team player who helps and serves others by taking time to develop associates, including me when I was new in Charlotte as an Outside Sales Representative in May 2005. The product knowledge Mike shared served as a great resource assisting me in more effectively serving our customers.

Mike’s influence resonates with Lansing leaders, including former Charlotte branch managers Chief Sales Officer Bryan Pisano and Southeast Regional Manager Vinnie Brown, in their development of associates.

Living True Blue is how Lansing Building Products delivers on its purpose of making a positive impact in people’s lives. When I think of people living True Blue, I think of Mike Windley. He continues to live and share it with our associates, customers, and suppliers making each day better year after year at Lansing.
