Built to Last is Lansing’s theme for 2025.
I had the opportunity to share its meaning as we kicked off Lansing’s 70th anniversary at our National Meetings.
For seven decades, Lansing has been more than just a company. It is a legacy, a family, and a symbol of resilience and excellence.
70 years of service is a significant accomplishment.
Statistics show a family-owned business lasts an average of 25 years. Only 12% of those companies survive to the third generation.
Seven decades after my grandfather, Ted Lansing, opened our first branch in Richmond, Virginia, we are stronger than ever because of dedicated associates, extraordinary customer and vendor relationships, and our commitment to achieving excellence in everything we do.
People make the difference at Lansing.
To me, Built to Last means respecting and drawing upon our past while also adapting to move forward. It means living True Blue by protecting the Lansing brand, embracing challenges, delivering on promises, and making each day better to become a stronger company year after year.
This is how we will continue to live our Purpose of making a positive impact in people’s lives.
