The Mission Begins

Chris & Erlynn Lansing

You may know from previous blogs and other company communications my parents have been called to serve a three-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Chris and Erlynn departed Richmond June 16 and are now settled in their new mission home in South Jordan, Utah where they will oversee the Salt Lake City South Mission. They will provide guidance, direction, and manage daily operations for approximately 150 missionaries. These young missionaries will come from all over the world, and from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds.

My dad served his own mission to London, England in his early twenties, and this past experience will provide a strong reference point, shared connection, and understanding with the missionaries. My mom is excited to have the opportunity to serve her first full-time mission for the church, and is eager to nurture and care for the young adults assigned to them.

Although we will miss them during these next few years, all of us in the LBP Family of Associates wish my parents all the best with their new challenges. We are confident the missionaries they guide will benefit greatly from their knowledge, wisdom, generous and caring natures.
