Recognizing Others’ Good Work

October is National Cybersecurity Month. I recently learned that cyber crime cost American businesses over $6.9 billion in 2021.

The news made me reflect on the extraordinary work our IT department does with our operating technology, customer, and financial data, as well as other online resources we use to run the business. They do an outstanding job protecting the company’s online assets.

I would like to recognize Lansing’s Vice President of Information Technology, Jeff Ribeiro. Jeff and his capable team provide excellent service in protecting the information of our company and associates.

Recently, Jeff relayed to me: “Many associates have helped build a strong Lansing brand over the past 67 years. Having a good cyber program is one keyway of protecting that brand.”

Putting safety first is one way we achieve excellence in everything we do. While we often think of this goal as it pertains to our warehouses or on the road, cyber safety is of equal importance.

Thank you to Jeff and our IT department for their commitment to protecting the Lansing brand and keeping our associates safe.
