Embracing Challenges and Change

In August, we completed the largest project in Lansing’s nearly 70-year history, finishing the rollout of TWL (Total Warehouse Logistics) in all 114 branches. TWL is an electronic inventory management system that empowers our warehouse teams to drive accountability and ensure accuracy on behalf of our customers.

Led by Billy Mosby, Devin Rich, and Will Taylor, the TWL team launched this project in 2019 when Lansing had 77 locations.

Five and a half years later – which included the largest company merger in our history along with a global pandemic – TWL is now implemented in all 114 Lansing branches.

Embracing Challenges—one of Lansing’s True Blue behaviors under Service—involves leading with courage and compassion. Through this project, our entire Lansing team fought through adversity, supported one another, and maintained focus on crossing the finish line. Their hard work and dedication have now created more opportunities to give our customers that Lansing “WOW” experience.

Change is inevitable. Challenges are too. I thank our associates for embracing both, because that makes Lansing a better company.
