In the days since we announced our intention to acquire Harvey Building Products, a lot has changed in the world. The coronavirus has had — and continues to have — a profound impact on our country and our day-to-day lives. As a business that in most states has been deemed essential, we are continuing to operate, and I’m proud of the way our associates have stayed focused on taking care of one another, operating safely, and supporting our customers in the best way we can.
In spite of the uncertainty and disruption we’ve all experienced, momentum continues to build toward finalizing the acquisition and integrating the two companies into one. Last week, all Harvey distribution associates received new benefit enrollment packages. Additionally, leaders from each company have been meeting virtually to begin mapping out what the future looks like in terms of HR, IT, finance, sales, marketing, merchandising, fleet, facilities, and other core functions. Their thoughtful work is laying the foundation for a successful integration.
Finally, the portal we have created for Harvey and Lansing associates will continue to serve as a hub for communications related to the acquisition and integration. We plan to update the FAQs and other information on a weekly basis; you’ll notice a banner on the top of the main page that will direct you to what’s new. Additionally, we’ve added a form to the lower right-hand side of the main page where you can submit questions or comments. If you prefer to do so anonymously, just leave the name and email address field blank.
