Our first goal under Vision 2025, our long-term strategy, is to be a best-in-class place to work and build a career. That goal is first because our people make the difference and our people make our business go. The primary way we measure ourselves on this first goal is through participation in the Great Place to Work® Survey. This is our fourth year completing the survey and I am incredibly proud that we have been certified yet again as a Great Place to Work.
As usual, our Associates stepped up. We received an amazing response rate of 98%, up four points from last year! Nearly 1,800 of our associates took the time to express their thoughts. According to the survey, 85% of Lansing associates feel this is a great place to work, bringing us closer to our best-in-class goal. More important than a score or even the certification, however, is the willingness of so many to take the time to share thoughtful, honest feedback on what we are doing well and where we can improve.
I often struggle expressing my appreciation for our associates because my words on a page do not adequately articulate what is in my heart. What I feel in my heart, however, is deep love, vast respect, and endless amounts of gratitude for the incredible work our associates do for Lansing. They have made a positive impact in my life, and I’m honored to be a part of an amazing family.
