Lansing University May Session

lansing family

Our latest Lansing University training course was held here in Richmond May 23-26. For those that may not know, Lansing University is a focused, intensive training program that introduces and immerses associates in LBP culture, philosophies, and procedures. All of the workshops in this latest session focused on Selling the Lansing Way and included instruction on utilizing Operations, the CRM, Credit, Training, and Marketing Resources in this process. Various company leaders and executives also met with the group sharing their expertise and experience in these areas. One special highlight was Chris Lansing’s (CEO) participation, as he shared his views on Relationship Management. This latest course outline also included product installation training for some hands-on experience, and a panel session with a prominent customer in the Richmond area. The group also traveled to Pulaski, VA for a Hardie plant tour and made a stop along the way at Virginia’s Natural Bridge. Threaded throughout the week were opportunities to meet and mingle with corporate associates; networking and building personal relationships.

The Lansing University training program remains an invaluable tool in educating new and promising associates about our company and its culture. Hopefully every participant leaves with not only increased sales and product knowledge, but perhaps even more importantly, a clear understanding of the LBP vision and a commitment to not just be able to recite the Mission Statement, but to putting it into daily practice.

Congrats to the latest Lansing University class. All of us at Lansing Building Products look forward to your continued growth and development as members of the LBP family.
